Hi, I’m Nikki, owner, designer and maker at

Nikki Louise Jewellery.

Welcome to my world of handmade sterling silver jewellery, crafted with love and passion in my charming studio in Berkshire. As a designer maker, I pour my heart into creating unique pieces from 100% recycled sterling silver, ensuring that each item embodies timeless elegance while carrying a personal touch. Every creation reflects the beauty and inspiration found in my surroundings, making each piece not just jewellery but a story and a testament to sustainability. Join me in celebrating individuality and artistry through exquisite handcrafted accessories that are made to last.

When I'm not busy working and creating beautiful pieces of jewellery, I love spending quality time with my family. I'm happily married and we have two wonderful grown daughters. We also share our home with a lively Hungarian Vizsla named Indie, who is always by my side, brightening each day with her playful spirit. Before Indie came into our lives, I had Lola, my beloved first Hungarian Vizsla who spent countless hours with me in the workshop. She inspired many of my early designs and will forever hold a special place in my heart..

My first collection is dedicated to Lola my first workshop buddy, my muse.

Indie however, is not so sure about taking up the role of workshop buddy, yet!!

It's a work in progress.

A snippet into my background.

I grew up in St Albans, Hertfordshire, exploring various jobs without finding my passion for working with children. After marrying in 1996 and welcoming my daughters in 1997 and 2000, I became a childminder in 1998, balancing family life with nurturing young minds. After a decade, I transitioned to a Teaching Assistant role at an Infant School for 12 rewarding years. Throughout these experiences, my creativity thrived, leading me to discover my true calling.

And so my silversmithing story begins.

My journey into the beautiful world of silversmithing truly began in June 2019, when an old school friend  invited me to join her for an exciting day class at a charming jewellery school nestled in Hertfordshire. It was, without a doubt, the best decision I’ve ever made, as the school was not only located in the lovely county where I grew up, but it was also set within an inspiring and creative venue that sparked my imagination. Since that momentous day, I have dedicated my time and efforts to learning new and more advanced skills, continually growing as a jeweller and embracing every opportunity for creativity.

Diploma in Silver Jewellery

In September 2023, I embarked on an exciting journey by starting a distant learning Diploma in Silver Jewellery. This immersive course has allowed me to dive deep into both the foundational techniques and innovative, advanced skills within this beautiful craft. One of the absolute highlights for me has undoubtedly been learning the intricate art of stone setting, a skill I was particularly excited about for its potential. The ability to seamlessly incorporate stunning gemstones into my future designs will open up a world of creative possibilities, and I’m eagerly looking forward to continuing to hone my craft as I explore this captivating art form in greater depth. Fast forward to July 2024, I proudly submitted my final piece, a sea-inspired cuff bangle, along with my Term 3 and final work as my Diploma in Silver Jewellery came to an end. This piece was a culmination of all the skills and techniques I’ve meticulously developed throughout the course, all while drawing profound inspiration from the beauty and dynamic movement of the sea. I’m absolutely thrilled to share that I passed with an amazing score of 96.7%!
