Granulation is a traditional technique used thousands of years ago, in which tiny beads or granules of metal (usually gold or silver scraps) are individually melted and then fused onto a metal surface to create intricate decorative patterns.
As previously mentioned this method dates back thousands of years and was famously used by ancient Etruscan and Greek goldsmiths. The process requires precision, skill, and patience, as each granule must be placed by hand and fused without melting the underlying surface.
