Molten and Fusing Sterling Silver Technique

The molten and fusing technique is a process rooted in spontaneity, texture, and raw beauty. Unlike traditional soldering, which uses an external filler, fusing relies on the silver itself, bringing pieces to the brink of melting so they fuse together naturally.

This technique involves carefully heating sterling silver scrap or sheet with a torch until the surface begins to ripple, melt, and flow, capturing a moment of controlled chaos. When done with intent and precision, the silver fuses into itself or onto another surface, creating unique, organic textures that can’t be replicated.

This method celebrates imperfection, sustainability, and the natural alchemy of fire and metal.
